Late September
Milo had his hearing tested on September 22, and got tubes put in his ears on the 26th. His hearing test showed significant hearing loss because he had so much fluid behind his eardrums. The doctors explained it to me like if you put your fingers in your ears, you can still hear, but everything is muffled. This is what Milo was hearing and most likely why he isn't talking. He's still going to do Early Intervention and Speech Therapy, but we were very relieved that the doctors wanted to check his hearing. We never suspected that he couldn't hear us.
These pictures were all taken the weekend before his surgery. We went and visited Gramma and Grampa Duhn in Georgia.

The original photo actually showed me on one side of Milo and Curtis on the other. But Curtis was slouching and looked like he had a big belly and my head looked too big and I was laughing with my mouth open and it looked like I was about to take a big bite out of Milo's head. So the "Crop" feature came in very handy!
I love this one. So dreamy.
