Somehow, these pictures never got added, which is such a shame, because they're probably the cutest in the whole bunch!
Milo received these overalls as a baby shower gift. My shower took place a few weeks after he was born. Because he came so early, we obviously didn't have time to have a shower beforehand (or even attend a single child birthing class). Anyway, I remember opening this outfit, size 2T, and thinking "My child is barely over 2 pounds!!" I couldn't even begin to fathom that my baby would ever be big enough to fit in these darling little overalls. They made me feel sad that day. But two years later, when I happened upon them in his closet, and realized he was almost too big for them, I practically weeped with joy. What had symbolized an impossibility back in early 1999 (a healthy boy, looking perfectly adorable in red overalls), had become a reality. I was so glad my mother's friends Sharon and Donna had given them to me (they gave him a pull toy as well). These overalls were such a sudden, clear reminder to me of how far we've come, and how I mustn't ever forget to be.so.grateful.
Milo's first restaurant dinner where he ate the same thing we did: pizza.
The scratch on his nose came from falling on a brick sidewalk outside Mellow Mushroom restaurant. He didn't think it was any fun at all.
