House Pictures - Round One
Okay, so we bought a glorious new house. We've never owned a home before, and the fact that we were doing this was so huge because we were finally putting down roots, etc etc. We were supposed to close on the house on June 13th. We had had some problems with the mortgage and the down payment, and we had finally ironed out the wrinkles, and the house was complete except for some tiny little details.....and on June 1, a teeny little part in an upstairs bathroom pipe cracked and burst and went undetected for over 24 hours. The flood damage was so extensive that the builder had to completely gut the house and start over. After a lot of soul searching, a few inspections, and a lot of ass kissing from the builder, we decided that we still want the house. So this is the house - before the flood, but the pictures are still accurate. The builder is making sure that everything stays the same or better.

This is the focal point of the living room - it's a fireplace and entertainment center that are side by side. The entertainment center will have doors so that we can hide the TV when it's not in use. Also, isn't that window above it so pretty? This picture doesn't do it enough justice - it's really really lovely.
