The Duhns Cruise

The week before Christmas, Curtis' parents took us all on a cruise to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica.  It was glorious.

(These are the professional poses from the ship photographer)

About to board the ship.  We had all gotten up around 4 AM that morning, spent hours waiting in the airport and then more hours waiting to get onboard.  We were all exhausted and ready for bed!

After an awesome time snorkeling in Cozumel, Curtis and I stayed out to do some shopping and Erich and Sonie brought Milo back to the ship for lunch and a nap.

Us in Cozumel - I really wanted to see a store called Los Cinco Soles, but it was quite a ways away and we only had an hour before the ship was supposed to leave.  We got there and shopped, but were 15 minutes late getting back to the ship.  Fortunately, we weren't the only late stragglers, so it wasn't a big deal.  By the way, if you're ever in Cozumel, you MUST go to this store.  And if you're wealthy, please buy me the table and chairs that had a giant sun carved in them!

Milo at dinner with "Friend Brooke."  We were seated with another family who was traveling in the same configuration as we were - grandparent(s) with a younger couple and the couple's kid.  It was perfect and we all got along great.  It took so much stress off of all of us, since we didn't have to worry about our respective, squirmy toddlers annoying anyone.  We were all 'in the same boat together!' (everyone groan now!)

Our formal portrait.  Please ignore how wrinkled my dress is.  I was on vacation, after all!  Who wants to iron?

Us at Half Moon Cay (pronounced Key), on the last day of the trip.
