When we were at my parent’s house last weekend, it was 95 degrees and they don’t have air conditioning, so at one point, I took off all of his clothes and turned the fan on him.  He started laughing and got a baby erection and then grabbed it and held it for, like, 20 minutes!

Milo fussed at the restaurant (Anderson’s) and Grandpa Barry scolded him “Hey.  You’re in public.”  Deep voice, meant business.  Gramma, Mommy and Milo all sat silently with our eyebrows raised

Grandpa Barry played guitar when Milo fussed (Mommy and Gramma were out renting a movie).  It worked

Milo eats his hands (he tries to fit the whole thing in his mouth!)

He laughs at his sorcerer puppy puppet that sits on the mantel

His favorite toy is a bee that makes a bell noise

He loves laying on the blanket outside in the front yard

He laughed at a big Tigger at the mall

He loves his stroller – sitting up

Loves the bouncy seat – it’s obvious to me that “Corrected age” only really pertains to his size.  Milo acts like a 5 month old, and he would definitely be happier if he could sit up on his own

He’s very smiley and laughs a lot in the morning, but in the late afternoon and evening, he’s miserable and requires a lot of patience.  He bellows a lot.  BUT, his favorite time of the day is between 6-7 PM, when he gets to have his bath

We’ve been listening to the “Little Voice” soundtrack nonstop and singing show tunes.  Milo likes them when he’s in his bouncy seat (he kicks and kicks!), but not when we’re anyplace else.  When we’re rocking and nursing, he still prefers soft, quiet singing or nothing at all.  He’s not really into reading yet.

He looks at his hands all the time and is fascinated by them.  He’ll be reaching for things and holding them very soon.  He’s so smart!

He’s turning his head much better now (for a long time, he would only turn his head to the right)

We’re trying to get him to sleep in his crib now – he’s getting older and we really want to break him of his car seat habit (He likes the curved posture for sleeping, instead of flat).  It was fine before, because, at least he was sleeping, but now that he’s begun sleeping pretty normally, now it’s time to start using his bed.  Average sleep schedule now:  Sleeps up to 5 hours from 7 PM – 1 AM, then wakes to eat, then sleeps the rest of the night, waking to eat 2 more times, then he gets Curtis up around 6:30-7 AM, then he sleeps/eats in our bed with me after 9:30 until 10 or 11.  He’s become a normal sleeper (even, almost, a good one!), and we’re all much less zombified around here!  Now we just need to figure out what he needs to avoid that late-in-the-day meltdown.  It’s supposed to be normal, but it’s so exhausting, and then once he finally does go to bed, that’s pretty much it for me too… I’m not interested in doing anything besides sitting in front of the TV because there’s just no energy for anything else.  So, yes, I’d love to know what he needs at that time of the day to make him happy!
